A periodic rectangular waveform whose harmonic content varies with the proportion of the rectangle. The pulse width lengths can be modulated to create waves with rich sounding harmonics. Rectangular waves are good for creating nasal or reed instrument sounds as well electric guitar and saxophone sounds when the pulse width lengths are modulated.
