Noise

A complex non-periodic or (non-repeating) waveform containing a broad spectrum of non-harmonically related partials. We as humans do not hear noise as pitch. Noise has various frequencies described as colors. White noise contains high frequencies and sounds like hissing. Pink noise has low frequencies and sounds like the rumbling of a surf.
